Leicester have enjoyed a dream start to their maiden Champions League campaign.

The Premier League champions beat Club Brugge 3-0 in their first ever match in the competition.

Marc Albrighton capitalised on poor defending from Brugge at a set-piece to tap in the opener, before Riyad Mahrez's free-kick had Leicester in control.

Mahrez added his second of the night from the spot on the hour to give Leicester the perfect start to life in Europe's elite club competition.

Manchester City were 4-0 winners in their rearranged group game with Borussia Monchengladbach.

Sergio Aguero scored a hat-trick, while youngster Kelechi Iheanacho added the fourth.

But it wasn't such a great night for Tottenham at Wembley, as they went down 2-1 to Monaco.

The Ligue 1 side put themselves 2-0 up in the first half through Bernardo Silva and Thomas Lemar.

Spurs pulled one back on 45 minutes through Toby Alderweireld but it wasn't enough for Mauricio Pochettino's side.
