Scottish champions Celtic remain on course for the domestic treble after beating Inverness Caledonian Thistle 6-0 in the Scottish Cup at Celtic Park on Saturday.

The match occurred almost 17 years to the day when the minnows stunned the Glasgow giants 3-1 in 2000.

There was to be no repeat of that result this time out as Brendan Rodgers' charges eased to a comprehensive 6-0 in front of their own crown.

Goals from Mikael Lustig, Kieran Tierney, Scott Brown and a hat-trick from Moussa Dembele saw the Hoops coast into the next round.

They remain unbeaten in domestic competition this season having already won the Scottish League Cup and are 27 points clear at the top of the league.

They welcome Motherwell to Celtic Park next weekend in the league as they look to continue their impressive campaign.
