The lure of English football has caused Virgil van Dijk to leave Celtic and join Southampton.
The defender has moved for a fee in the region of £11M.
The Dutch international, who joined from Celtic from Groningen in 2013, told Sky Sports News that he wants the challenge of the Premier League.
"I'm so excited and I can't wait to start playing and enjoying it as well because the most important thing in football is to have fun as well," he said.
It's one of many transfers on a busy day for the midtable Premier League clubs in particular.
West Ham completed a fourth signing on today's transfer deadline day with winger Michail Antonio moving from Nottingham Forest.
He joins Nikica Jelavic, who also arrives on a permanent basis after leaving Hull.
Coming in on loan are Chelsea's Victor Moses and Barcelona's Alex Song, who returns to Upton Park after a successful spell last season.
Meanwhile, Joleon Lescott completed his transfer deadline day move to Aston Villa.
The England defender joins from local rivals West Brom.
