Leeds United have confirmed that a consortium led by Italian businessman Massimo Cellino has bought a controlling 75 per cent stake in the club.
Current owners GFH Capital will retain the remaining 25 per cent holding.
The takeover is subject to approval from the Football League, but the news is likely to once again create doubts over the future of manager Brian McDermott after lawyers for Cellino told him last week that he would be sacked.
