Cavan have beaten Fermanagh by 13 points to 11, and in the process booked their spot in this year’s Ulster Championship semi-final.
Martin Dunne was the star for the victors, hitting two late points and five in total.
Fermanagh failed to register a score for the opening 25 minutes, and the scoreboard read 0-7 to 0-3 in Cavan’s favour at the break. That Fermanagh could have snatched victory at the end was as much testament to their mid game resurrection as it was to Cavan’s inability to finish off Peter Canvan’s side.
Cavan go on now to face Monaghan in the semi-final.
