Carl Frampton's time as a dual-World Champion may not last long.

The Belfast native added the WBA super-bantamweight title to his IBF belt when he defeated Scott Quigg on Saturday night in Manchester by split decision. After winning the WBA title, it now looks like Frampton may be stripped of his belt.

The WBA announced in January, that the winner of the Frampton-Quigg fight was had to fight Cuban superstar Guillermo Rigondeaux "on or before July 27, 2016". If neither agreed to the fight, they would be stripped of the belt.

Frampton looks set to lose the belt as manager Barry McGuigan told The Irish Daily Star that the Cuban was negative. "What do we gain from fighting him?"

One fighter that may be on Frampton's radar is Leo Santa Cruz. The Mexican featherweight defended his WBA Super Featherweight title against Kiko Martinez on Saturday night.
