There was much speculation last night claiming that the rainbow in the above image was photoshopped.
I can confirm that it was very much real.
I was covering yesterday evening's game between Bohemians and Cork City at Dalymount Park when the captivating apparition made itself known above the Phibsborough skyline.
As you can see below, just before Cork winger Gearoid Morrissey was fouled in the box, a rainbow appeared at the other end of the pitch.
Divine intervention?
Who knows, but Behan netted his penalty and Cork did mysteriously win the game 2 - 1 despite the fact that Bohs dominated and missed chance after chance. Even Cork manager Tommy Dunne admitted that his team were lucky to get all three points in his post match comments.
