Manny Pacquiao got some revenge on Saturday when he beat Timothy Bradley in a Las Vegas rematch.

In 2012, the Filipino legend had been beaten by the American in a controversial split decision but this time Pacquiao has come away with the WBO Welterweight title.

"Pacquiao deserved both decisions," ESPN boxing writer Dan Rafael told us tonight. The first fight was a terrible miscarriage of justice. In the second fight, I thought he fought just as well, perhaps a little bit more offensive minded. This time he got the decision he deserved the last time."

Rafael said that Bradley abandoned the strategy he used in the first fight and he feels the fight showed Pacquiao is still hungry.

"I think for this fight he was very motivated because there were a lot of people saying that although he might win the fight he wasn't as good as he once was, he lost a step, is more consumed with his political career in the Philippines and is only fighting for the money. He showed that that's not true," said Rafael.

As for his political ambitions, Rafael says many in the Philippines believe Pacquiao could become a future president of his country.

But undoubtedly he would like to take on Floyd Mayweather once and for all before that.

However, the prospect of that fight does not appear to be on the cards according to Rafael as neither side can come to an agreement and in any case the fight would not match what it could have been when both fighters were at their peak.

And it would be "off the table" if Mayweather was to lose to Marcos Maidana in May and Rafael explained why the WBC Welterweight champion chose that particular opponent.
