Fionnuala Britton got herself on the podium as she won a bronze medal at the European Indoor Championships in Sweden.

The double European Cross Country champion produced a superb final lap to finish third in the Women's 3,000 metres in a time of 9 minutes.

It is Ireland's second medal of the Championships following Ciaran O'Lionaird's third place finish in the Men's 3,000 metres last night.

Earlier today, Ciara Everard finished sixth in the final of the 800 metres in a time of 2 minutes 2.55 seconds.

And later today Amy Foster is in the semi finals of the 60 metres.
