Fionnuala Britton will be the first of the Irish athletes in action on day two of the European Indoor Championships in Sweden.

After Derval O'Rourke's agonising fourth place finish last night, Britton will be looking to book her place in the final of the women's 3000.

The double European cross country champion runs in heat one at 11:25am.

Later today, Rose-Anne Galligan and Ciara Everard will contest the semi-finals of the 800 metres.

Brian Gregan will start as one of the favourites in the 400 metres semi-finals.

And Ciaran O Lionaird will feature in the penultimate race of the day when he contests the 3,000 metre final.
