The Aston Villa club have just sacked their manager Tim Sherwood as the club continues to struggle in the Premier League.
It was suspected Aston Villa would call time on Sherwood's term as manager ahead of their 2-1 defeat to Swansea City yesterday. Currently sitting in a dangerous 19th place on the table, Villa have shipped six successive defeats in the league.

Following his arrival in February, Sherwood guided Aston Villa to an FA Cup final but won just one of ten league matches in that time. This is the second time Sherwood has been made redundant as the head of a Premier League side. Tottenham Hotspur parted company with Sherwood last year after the club finished sixth in the Premier League.
According to reports, Under 21 manager Kevin McDonald has been drafted in as an interim replacement.
But it seems the vacant position is already generating interest.
