John Terry's time at Chelsea may soon be coming to an end.

The 36-year-old, who made his debut in 1998 is in the final six months of his contract at the club. With the exception of a brief loan spell at Nottingham Forest in 2000, Terry has played for no other club side.

That may soon change, with reports claiming Bournemouth are interested in bringing the defender to the English south coast. The Cherries have an active relationship with Chelsea this season, as Nathan Ake was on loan at the Vitality Stadium this season. Such was the defender's impressive performances for Bournemouth, he was recalled by Chelsea earlier this month.

Terry has struggled to gain a concrete position at Chelsea this season. The former England captain has struggled with injuries, and returned to the first-team for the first time in over two months last weekend. The comeback turned into a nightmare for the defender, as Terry was sent off in the FA Cup win over Peterborough United.

Despite only being promoted to the Premier League ahead of last season, Bournemouth's rise has been extraordinary. Eddie Howe's side currently lie in ninth place, despite their shock loss to Millwall in the FA Cup.

The club has also proven it can help revitalise careers. Bournemouth was the surprise choice of Jack Wilshere, when Arsenal allowed the England midfielder leave on loan for the season.

Age shows that Terry's best days are still behind him. His Chelsea career is entering the home straight, but a club at the level of Bournemouth may offer the former England captain a final chance in the Premier League.
