Bolton Wanderers chairman Phil Gartside has died following a lengthy battle with cancer.
The 63-year-old had stepped away from his duties at the Championship club last November, being described at the time as "seriously ill".
He had served on the board at the club since 1989.

Gartside oversaw a period in which Bolton spent a significant portion of the past two decades in the Premier League.
Currently in the Championship relegation zone under the management of Neil Lennon, Bolton have been struggling with mounting financial problems.
