FIFA presidential candidate Michael van Praag wants live TV and online debates between those hoping to win the May ballot.

The Dutch FA chief, who has been an outspoken critic of FIFA president Sepp Blatter, has been outlining his vision for the future of football's world governing body.

He wants to serve a single four-year term as president to implement reforms before handing over to a new generation.

The Scottish FA is one of the five federations backing the Dutchman, along with Belgium, Sweden, Romania and the Faroe Islands.

Earlier today, former Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Barcelona winger Luis Figo put himself forward as a candidate, joining the likes of David Ginola, ex-FIFA official Jerome Champagne and Jordanian FA head Prince Ali Bin Al-Hussein on the list of people challenging Blatter.
