FIFA president Sepp Blatter has lodged a criminal complaint in relation to the awarding of the hosting rights for the next two World Cups.

The complaint relates to the "possible misconduct of individual persons", with suspicions that international transfers of assets with connections to Switzerland took place.

This arises out of the report compiled by Michael Garcia, who investigated possible corruption regarding the 2018 tournament being handed to Russia and the 2022 event going to Qatar.
