Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery has been ruled out of upcoming Champions League match with Arsenal.
The France international underwent buttock surgery after rupturing a blood vessel.
The 30-year-old Ballon D'Or nominee will return to training next week, but not in time for next Wednesday's first leg against the Gunners.
Meanwhile, long-term knee injury victim Holger Badstuber was involved in his first running session in six months. The Germany international who has suffered successive cruciate ligament injuries over the past 18 months, still holds out hope of making the World Cup squad.
