Ireland's season has finished on a losing note after a narrow 22-21 loss at the hands of the Barbarians at Thomond Park.

Two tries from Welsh international Alex Cuthbert helped a star-studded Barbarians side to claim victory, with Ireland claiming consolation tries through Craig Gilroy, Chris Henry and Paddy Jackson.

An experimental Ireland side failed to match the high-tempo and energy of their guests in Limerick, but the likes of Chris Henry, Dan Tuohy and Paddy Jackson would have been pleased with their individual performances as they seek a place in Ireland's World Cup squad.
