A badminton player who chased and fought with his former doubles partner has been banned from the sport for two years.
Bodin Issara chased and rained blows upon his ex-Thailand team-mate during a match at last month's Canada Open.
Maneepong Jongjit, the other participant in the brawl, has been suspended for three months.
Both have 21 days to appeal the sanctions from the Badminton World Federation.
Meanwhile the Irish team's involvement at the Badminton World Championships in China is at an end after London Olympian Chloe Magee lost her opening round match in the women's singles.
The Donegal woman was beaten in straight sets by Hsaio Ma Pei of Chinese Taipei.
Magee and her brother Sam were beaten in the mixed doubles on Monday while Scott Evans also lost his opening men's singles match.
