There is some bad news for Munster fans ahead of the Heineken cup semi final against Toulon in Montpellier.
Peter O'Mahony has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
According to Munster, the back row is to undergo reconstructive shoulder surgery this morning and is ruled out for the remainder of the season.
The province says the Six Nation’s winner went to Dublin late yesterday evening for a review with the specialist, and following the consultation it was confirmed that the Munster captain required surgery on his left shoulder.
O'Mahony picked up the damage in Saturdays quarter final win against Toulouse.
