There's been no shortage of experiments when it comes to releasing new films over the last few years. However, some releases are particularly interesting.
In Your Eyes is directed by Brin Hill and written by Avengers director and Buffy creator Joss Whedon. It had its worldwide premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on Sunday. However, in an unusual move, the film has bypassed a traditional cinema release and has already been released online and worldwide via video site Vimeo.
Fans around the world who want to watch the film - described as "a timeless boy-meets-girl story, wrapped in a supernatural world" - can do so for $5 (around €3.60).
The film is the second feature from director Brin Hill. Whedon is currently busy shooting the sequel to The Avengers, which is due out next summer. He has continued working on smaller films alongside his blockbuster work, including last year's adaptation of Much Ado About Nothing.
