It was revealed yesterday that the Australian team caused €8,000 in damage to their changing rooms in the Aviva, following Sunday's 26 - 23 Irish victory.

Though it was initially suspected that one or more of the Wallabies squad may have taken out their frustrations on the door, the team has released an official statement explaining the incident:

"We have received many queries and comments in relation to the incident at Aviva Stadium on Saturday night, after the Wallabies loss to Ireland. We value feedback from our fans and want to keep you in the loop so here’s what happened...

"One of the Wallabies support staff members accidentally opened a door the wrong way when going into the change room. A bolt from the door’s hinge went into the wall and created a small hole. We immediately notified venue management and have offered to help with any repair costs. Any suggestion that this was a player or member of staff acting angrily after losing the game isn't true."

An interesting story to say the least...
