Australia have beaten Ireland in this morning's International Rules test in Perth.
The hosts beat Ireland 56 - 46 at Patersons Stadium.
Paul Earley's Ireland side trailed Australia by 28 points at half-time, with Ireland having only managed 7 points to Australia's 35.
However, the visitors put on some extra pressure to ensure a much closer final two quarters.
A finish by Darren Hughes and an Australian own goal helped Ireland close the gap to ten points by the time the final whistle blew.
