Manchester United manager David Moyes is receiving praise today for his critism of Ashley Young following his dive at the weekend.
Young had been booked for simulation previous to winning a penalty in the first half , Palace defender Kagisho Dikgacoi who was alledged to have brought him down was sent off and the visitors went onto lose 2-0.
Palace Chairman Steve Parish has called for players who dive to be red carded while former referee Graham Poll says Ashley Young should be banned for 5 games.
Poll wrote in todays Daikly Mail "This time Young's duplicity did not fool the referee but it will in other games.
"Players diving also has a knock on effect in that it creates greater uncertainty if a referees mind as to whether there has been a foul or not and therefore perfectly legitimate penalties are being turned down."
Young has been critisized before and has received 3 yellow cards for diving since the 06/07 season, the player has won 8 penalties since that same season which puts him level with Gabriel Agbonlahor.
David Moyesmade it clear after the game he doesn't want his players diving.
