Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert is playing down suggestions of a doorstep row surrounding midfielder Tom Cleverley and his former assistant manager Roy Keane.

He has confirmed that Keane turned up at Cleverley's house this week.

But he insists reports that the Irishman was there for an argument over leaks from the dressing room have been blown out of proportion.

Recently, claims have been made that Keane fell out with senior players at Villa, precipitating his departure from the club.

However, the Birmingham side have vehemently denied such suggestions.
