Jason Doherty and Alan Freeman got the goals for Mayo who beat Kerry in the Allianz league at Elverys Mc Hale Park in Castlebar. Freeman ended the game with a total of 1-5 which was more than Kerry scored in total in the second half.
Just like last year the Kingdom have lost their first three games in a row and are now real relegation candidates. For Mayo it was a first win of the season having suffered defeats to Kildare and Tyrone so far and they have now given themselves a chance of making the semi finals.
After the game Kerry manager Eamon Fitzmaurice spoke with Gary O’Sullivan of Radio Kerry among others about the performance, who’s on the way back from injury and the next game against Tyrone.
