When meet meet Davy Fitzgerald the wind is picking up on a rainy day on the first day of February in Ballysaggart, a small mountain side village near Lismore on the Cork / Waterford border.
It's a big day for the club as they host the finally of their "Spot the Sliotair" fundraiser as they attempt to raise enough to cover their run to the All Ireland junior club hurling final this Saturday in Croke Park as well as better drainage for the field which is wet at the best of times but today looks like the host venue of the bog snorkelling world championship.
As the competition drew to close on a wet and windy day I spoke to Fitzgerald about his new TV stardom with Irelands fittest family and defending the All Ireland title.
