It’s Ballysaggarts big day this Saturday as they take on Creggan of Antrim in the All Ireland junior final at Croke Park, it’s followed by the clash of Kilkenny’s Rower Inistioge and Kilnadeema Leitrim.
It’s been a big year for the small club who had the two Bennett brothers on the Waterford minor team that won the All Ireland, their father Pat served as a selector to Davy Fitzgerald during his reign as Deise boss.
So what does it all mean to the club who could just as easily be yours and mine, well I found out by going to their fundraising day in the rain last weekend and caught up with those who are making it happen on and off the pitch.
