Ashley Cole has agreed a deal with Los Angeles Galaxy after his spell at Roma came to an end.

After 18 months at the Italian club, where he has often been out of the first team picture (almost quite literally in the oft-lampooned image below),  Cole has had his contract terminated by mutual consent, after the ex-Arsenal and Chelsea player made only 16 appearances over a period of a season-and-a-half.

The former England left-back, who won 107 international caps, will now join Ireland captain Robbie Keane and ex-England team-mate Steven Gerrard at MLS side LA Galaxy after agreeing a deal.
