Joe Schmidt and his Ireland side return to Dublin today after yesterday's 43-20 loss to Argentina in the World Cup quarter final in Cardiff.

The players will return to their provinces later this week as they look to bounce back from the defeat in Cardiff. The loss lengthens Ireland's record for at least another four years of never having won a knock out game at the World Cup game. Apart with Italy, Ireland sadly remain the only Tier One team never to reach a World Cup semi final.

After yesterday's game, Ulster flanker Chris Henry spoke to Off the Ball's Nathan Murphy and praised the sides South American opponents. "The game really just got away from us. We were playing against a quality side. They were much the better side on the day. The scoreline really hurts."

The 31 year old said Ireland's start to the game, when they were losing 17-10 inside the opening quarter led to their downfall. "When you look up at the scoreboard, and you think, '17 points, how on Earth did that just happen so quickly?' I guess that's the real positive you can take from the game, that the boys did show character and fight our way back into the game."

Argentina are now in their second World Cup semi final in the past three tournaments and Henry would not be surprised to see them improve on that and maybe reach a first final. The Pumas "have a team there to do some real damage now for the rest of this tournament."

Henry's season continues now with Ulster after a week off. He told Nathan the "Irish character" will help the side get back on their feet and perform with their provinces.
