The stars of hit comedy film 'Anchorman' have made it no secret that they are big fans of the Emerald Isle and David Koechner is no different.

David Koechner, who plays uber-sexist Champ Kind in the Anchorman films, stopped by St Jude's GAA club in Templeogue to watch the game and enjoy a pint with the team after their win.

But one pint wasn't enough for Koechner and the team treated him to a club jersey to take home as a souvenir.

St Judes are currently in the quarter-finals and top of their group in the hurling championship.

Perhaps a visit from Channel 4's Champ Kind is just the extra push the team needed to go all the way.
