A repeat of this year's All-Ireland football final will get the Division One action underway in the 2016 Allianz Football League.

Dublin will face Kerry under the lights of Croke Park on Saturday, January 30th.

There is another Division One encounter that night, with Down and Donegal meeting in an all-Ulster affair at Páirc Esler in Newry.

The semi-finals will come around on the weekend of April 9th and 10th, with the Division One and Two finals taking place on April 24th, the 100th anniversary of the Easter Rising.

Meanwhile, Division 1A of the National Hurling League begins with the meeting of Tipperary and Dublin on February 13th at Semple Stadium.

Valentine's Day will see Galway face Cork in Salthill, and Waterford meet Kilkenny at Walsh Park.

The Division One semi-finals take place on April 17th, with the final a fortnight later.
