Dundalk will host Longford Town on the opening day of the 2015 SSE Airtricity League in the first week of March.

The League of Ireland champions are among six sides in action on the opening day, with newly-promoted Galway United taking on Derry City and a Dublin derby between Shamrock Rovers and St Patrick's Athletic.

2014 runners-up Cork City travel to Sligo Rovers the following day, with Bray Wanderers and Drogheda United's match and Limerick versus Bohemians completing the opening weekend fixture list.

The start of the 2015 season will be launched with the President’s Cup Final between League Champions Dundalk and FAI Cup winners St Patrick’s Athletic at Oriel Park on Saturday, February 28th.

The first leg of the First Division Play-Offs will take place on either October 23 or 24 with the second leg on Friday, October 30. The promotion-relegation play-off final will take place the following week with the first leg on Monday, November 2 and the second leg on Friday, November 6 or Wednesday, November 11 if one of the teams involved qualifies for the FAI Cup Final.

The first round of the EA Sports Cup will take place on Monday, March 9 with the second round on April 6 and 7 and the Quarter-Finals on May 18 and 19. The semi-finals are scheduled for August 3 and the final is on September 19.

The second round of the FAI Cup is scheduled for the weekend of May 31 with the third round on August 23 and the quarter-finals on September 13. The semi-finals will take place on the week-end of October 4 and the final is at the Aviva Stadium on Sunday, November 8th.
