This May, you can get on yer bike to get some exercise and raise money for a worthy cause all at the same time
ReachOut is an online youth mental health service that aims to help young people through tough times, and was the first of its kind in the world.
Reflecting the need for reliable information on anything which could affect someone’s mental health, emphasis is placed on peer support and the principle that we all know someone going through a tough time.
In order to raise funds for the worthy cause, the beautiful countryside surrounding Ballaghaderreen will play host to a charity cycle on May 22nd at 9am.
Proceeds raised from the cycling event go to the service, aimed at providing young people and people who care about youth mental health, reliable, clinically approved information, as well as support and advice.
There will be three routes, with options for all who want to get involved at all levels of fitness: a 10km route for families, a 50km route for the casual cyclist, and a 100km option for those who want to challenge themselves.
Registration is €25 and can be secured on Eventbrite, while while further details about the cause and the event are available on ReachOut.com or Ballaghaderreen Cycling Club's Facebook page.
