A European Parliament vote calling for a ceasefire to the Israeli offensive against Hamas in Gaza illustrated some dividing lines between Fianna Fail and Fine Gael MEPs this week. Fianna Fail MEP Barry Andrews said on this issue that “the inclusion of conditionality clauses with respect to a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, supported by right-wing MEPs, was a red-line issue for us” - he joins Anton to discuss.
