The HSE has said that they have initiated a “whole system response” to the ongoing hospital overcrowding crisis being experienced across the country, with suggestions that it may get worse before getting better – with just yesterday the Executive Council of the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation meeting in an emergency session. To discuss this and the chronic issues facing the Irish healthcare system, Anton is joined by Tony O’Brien, the former Director General of the HSE.
