Has Dublin become too dangerous?

This week a US tourist suffered a serious assault near Talbot Street in Dublin, and a man in his 30s was also the victim of a serious assault on Dominic Street in Galway. These attacks have sparked further concerns about the level of anti-social behaviour and violence on our streets, and particularly danger in the inner city of the capital.
