This is part two of a two-part special.

The average cost of a cyber security attack is €4.5 million. The most famous example of an attack of this nature in Ireland is of course the ransomware attack on the HSE last year. The bill from that incident currently stands at around €100 million and that could run as high as €670 million.

But who are the teams fighting against cyber-attacks in this country and how ready is Ireland for another one?

Jess Kelly went to the National Emergency Coordination Centre to meet with the teams of two bodies that tackle the issue of cybercrime daily – the National Cyber Security Centre and the National Garda Cyber Crime Bureau.
