Neil Treacy continues to profile the countries we'll see at the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.

This week, we complete the opponents Ireland will face in Pool A of the competition, by putting the microscope over Samoa, one of the most iconic rugby nations in the world.

Neil speaks to Thomas Airey, a sports writer for the Samoa Observer, as well as talking to former Samoa second row Dan Leo, who currently runs the Pacific Rugby Player Welfare group.

Leo recounts growing up in a tight-knit Samoan community in New Zealand, watching the famous team of 1991 reach the World Cup, representing Samoa at two World Cups, and speaks passionately about the growing gulf between the haves and have-nots in World Rugby.
