Kathleen Funchion, Sinn Fein’s Children’s Spokesperson joined Gavan on On The Record this afternoon. Funchion said that she has serious concerns about the redress scheme announced on Tuesday and said that it will exclude a large number of people. The concerns stem from the Mother and Baby home reports not covering all Mother and Baby homes and county homes. Anyone not included in these homes in the reports are therefore not eligible for the government redress scheme.
