This year marks the centenary of the birth of Sybil Connolly, perhaps the most famous name in the history of Irish fashion.

In a career that had her work showcased by Jackie O. and Tiffany & Co - Connolly put Ireland, and Irish materials, on the world stage.

In her day her work was more designed than that of Dior in New York City, and even since her passing has remained fashionable.

Donal Fallon joined Gavan for another episode of Hidden Histories to discuss.
