It’s been a great week for Irish boxing on the world stage, thanks to Kellie Harrington, while at home, an 8,000 capacity crowd watched Michael Conlon defeat former super-bantamweight world champion TJ Doheny at Belfast’s Falls Park.

The sport has produced unusual international success for Ireland and done much to advance peace on the island of Ireland.

But why are we so good at boxing?
