His character in Coronation Street was set to undergo a transformation because he was ‘’Bored of Being The Fat Kid'’.
This was what prompted Colson to make the documentary on YouTube ''Bored of Being The Fat Kid''. Colson was 140kg (24 stone) at his heaviest, he lost almost 10 stone on his weightloss journey so far.
