Yesterday evening we all learned of the shocking death of Aishling Murphy, a 22-year-old schoolteacher who was murdered while exercising along a well-known walkway by the canal bank in Tullamore in broad daylight. Tributes have flown in locally for Aishling, someone who had her whole life ahead of her. Our reporter Stephen Murphy who is at the scene in Tullamore and spoke to a local woman who knew Aishling. Also with more reaction to the shocking murder was Noeline Blackwell, CEO of the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre.
