Lough Ree Distillery is one business that really diversified this year. They saw opportunity in Covid and started producing hand sanitiser and supplying it to the likes of Dublin Fire Brigade, Nursing homes, Charities and even Houses of the Oireachtas. In May, they invented a foot operated Hands free dispenser unit, called it CosSan and has since been rolled out countrywide in offices, churches, factories, museums and schools . The distillery did keep to their roots too and launched their Sling Shot Gin School at Home kits which allows people to blend their own Gin in their own home.
