Hazel Behan was just 20 years old when her life changed forever. What started off as a summer working broad in Portugal turned into a nightmare.  

One night after a long day of working in Praia Da Roch, Hazel returned home and was violently attacked in her apartment by a complete stranger.  

The man who attacked her is the prime suspect in the Madeline McCann case Christian Brückner. Brückner is now in prison for raping a 72-year-old woman in Praia Da Luz in 2005. Hazel’s case was brought to the fore years later she decided to waive anonymity and help the Met Police in their investigation regarding Madeline McCann.
