Waterford hospital will not have an emergency cardiac unit for three months. The south east's only cath lab will be closed while machinery is upgraded. Instead of being treated locally, patients will be forced to travel up to 100 miles after a heart attack. We heard the tragic story of Una McDermott who wasn't stable enough to travel and died after waiting 19 hours for treatment. Her sister Eva, was joined by Matt Shanahan who is campaigning for a second cath lab in the hospital.
