When it came to diagnosing ailments before modern medicine doctors often examined the  tongue for clues. Based on its color, shape, and thickness, the muscle can reveal a number of possible health issues from cancer, to diabetes, to even asthma and gastrointestinal issues. Pat discuss all this with Luke O’Neill, Professor of Biochemistry at the school of Immunology, Trinity College .
