All this week on Newstalk we are covering issues affecting the childcare sector in Ireland.
Yesterday we brought you exclusive research on how parents in Dublin are paying an average of almost €1,300 a month for childcare, whereas in Longford families pay just over €600.
Today our reporter Josh Crosbie joins us to talk about the availability of childcare.
Some parents looking for childcare are being told there is no availability until 2024.
Only creches in seven counties out of 26 surveyed by @NewstalkFM said they will have space this year.

They are in Dublin, Meath, Sligo and Wexford.
Only seven out of 26 countries said they would have a space this year, or will be reviewing their waiting lists.
