Bounce Back Recycling provides a much-needed mattress recycling service and much needed employment to travellers who face huge employment barriers. Last year before entering Dublin, it recycled 60,000 mattresses, directing them away from landfill where their components would take 100 years to break down. BBR extracts the springs, foam, fabric, and wood before they are put back into the circular economy as usable metal, insulation, and mulch. BBR manager Keith McDonagh joined Pat to discuss their work.
