What are the barriers to taking paternity leave in Ireland?

There's a huge gap between the number of births in Ireland and the number of men taking paternity leave.

The benefit was introduced in 2016, but less than two in every five dads in claimed the payment in 2017.

There was a 10% dip in claimants last year.

Newstalk reporter Aideen Finnegan explores the barriers for dads.
